Welcome to group coaching!
Welcome to crimalin!
It's great that you've chosen the ... Journey.
Before starting your journey, we would like to give you some tips that are essential for the success of your coaching.
First and foremost, some points about attitudes and behaviors during group work:
- The success of group work relies on the commitment of each individual. The coach is solely responsible for content, methods, and process management. For successful collaboration, everyone's input is necessary. In summary, the more energy you put into the process, the more experience you will gain, and the more energy you will take back into your daily life.
- By booking your Journey, you have also committed to participate in all group sessions and adhere to the agreed-upon times. This is essential so that everyone feels valued and can benefit from your contributions (and you can benefit from theirs).
- For fruitful cooperation, we must all treat each other with trust. This means we must give each other trust by being open and sharing our topics with the group, and we must also ensure confidentiality by being discreet and not disclosing anything discussed during coaching sessions. This also means that you cannot create videos, audio recordings, or photos of sessions.
- Building trust also requires us to listen to each other carefully, take each other seriously, and try to understand the other person's perspective before presenting our own views and opinions. Often, we have a quick "Yes, but" response based on our own worldview, but for our coaching process, we need a "Yes, I understand you" attitude. This leads to the other person feeling understood and allows us to learn a lot by taking a different perspective.
- Regarding the content of the sessions (input, models, and charts), you will always have access to them afterward, so you don't need to take any notes. It is enough to make short notes about personal insights so that your attention is not too distracted from the group process.
Here are some tips on the framework for your participation in the ...Journey:
- Please try to create your own "conference room atmosphere" by finding a quiet place where you can work undisturbed and focused for two hours.
- You will need at least one tablet, and the bigger the screen, the better, so you can see the group and the content clearly.
- Please do not walk around during the session – it's best to make sure beforehand that you don't need to eat or take a bathroom break. It's also helpful to have a (non-alcoholic) beverage ready, but no food, please.
- Please make sure you are well-positioned in the camera view. This is essential for contact and exchange with each other. It's best to have moderate lighting from the front and an arm's length distance from the camera. The monitor should be tilted so that your head is entirely in the picture but not too far from the top of the screen.
- If you need to step away briefly despite good preparation, please send a note in the chat and turn off your camera and microphone during your absence. To avoid feedback, the microphone should be turned off during the session unless you are speaking.
- During the session, please keep your microphone muted to avoid feedback, except when you want to speak and contribute to the discussion.
- Please remember to put your phones and tablets on "airplane mode" during the session. It's best to put them away, for example, in another room, so you won't be distracted.
